    No Completion Certificate To Housing Projects in Chennai Without RERA Registration

    With a view to ensure greater compliance of rules, the Tamil Nadu Real Estate Regulatory Authority (TNRERA) has made it mandatory for housing projects to have a RERA registration number before they are issued a completion certificate.  In an order issued last month, interim TNRERA Chairman S Krishnan, who is also the state housing and development secretary, has directed the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority to make RERA registration numbers a prerequisite for issuing completion certificates.

    Nagpur Real Estate To Get A Quick Ride On Metro

    Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on January 1 asked the authorities to prepare a detailed project report for the second phase of the Nagpur Metro project. Expected to be completed in four years, Phase-II of the Metro would be developed at an estimated cost of Rs 11,216 crore. The 48.30-km route will cover localities such as MIHAN, Lokmanya Nagar, Hingna, Prajapati Nagar, Transport Nagar, Vasudev Nagar and Dattawadi.
