    Delhi Metro’s 7 Subways In South To Provide Ease Of Walking

    In order to provide ease of commuting, the Delhi Metro is going to build seven subways along the Magenta Line near the Outer Ring Road. The plan is to build seven underpasses for pedestrians at Munirka, RK Puram, IIT, Panchsheel Park, Chirag Delhi, Greater Kailash and Nehru Enclave. These subways will be operational by mid-April. Through their multiple exits and entry points, these subways would help non-Metro travellers, too.

    Delhi Metro's Blue Line Extension Will Work Its Magic On Noida Realty

    The Cabinet on May 16 approved extension of the Metro rail network from Noida City Centre to Sector 62, which borders Ghaziabad, with an investment of Rs 1,967 crore. The New Line will be an extension of the Dwarka-Noida City Centre Line of the Delhi Metro. The extended route will provide transport facility to a large number of people living in Noida, besides catering to residents of close-by areas of Ghaziabad.

    The Supreme Court has halted further constructions in 1,797 colonies of Delhi, which are not in conformity with the building bye laws. The top court has asked the Centre to set up a special task force to oversee enforcement of laws regarding illegal constructions. Also, the Delhi High Court has warned the Delhi government of a time bomb in the making owing to its vested interest of regularising illegal constructions with the support of municipal corporations.
