. The road runs from Uppilipalayam
flyover to Nilambur bypass junction where it connects to NH 47. The road is divided into two beyond Nilambur Junction, one travelling southwards to Madukarai and forms Coimbatore
bypass, the other going westwards to Avinashi
and beyond to form NH 47 connecting Coimbatore
to its airport and east and northeast suburbs. Avinashi Road
serves as the gateway to the city both by road as well as from North and Eastern India.
