Delhi Celebrated The Cleanest Diwali Since 2014, Says Study
According to a recent study by SAFAR, the emission levels from fireworks in Delhi fell by around 40 per cent as compared to the levels in 2016. This has been the cleanest Diwali Delhi celebrated since 2014. Irrespective of this, the air quality in the national capital still touched the ‘severe’ mark on October 20. According to the report, this was primarily because of the trapping of smoke in the air due to the burning of paddy stubble in Haryana and Punjab.
