WBIIDC is a major real estate organization of the Government of West Bengal. WBIIDC was founded as per the Act. XXIV of 1974 for securing development of industries, trade and commerce in an organized manner. The organization’s Management Board comprises presidents of major Chambers of Commerce, corporate biggies, senior government officials and the minister in-charge.

The organization earlier focused only on development of industrial infrastructure. However, the portfolio of property by WBIIDC encompasses stadiums and sports complexes, basic health care facilities, infrastructural projects and mass housing projects. The organization has developed 12 industrial growth centres with three more being developed through the PPP model.

The organization’s USPs includes a stringent emphasis on quality and investment viability. The organization is known for offering all basic facilities, including power supply, road development, water supply and drainage as part of its projects. Landmark Projects:

Sankalpa II is a landmark project developed by the organization at Rajarhat New Town. The project comes with 3BHK apartments sized between 1,345 and 2,648 sq ft. The project consists of 228 units and spreads over 3.6 acres. The project offers several amenities to residents including a swimming pool, a well-equipped gymnasium, indoor game facilities, playing zone for children, 24-hour security services, table tennis provisions, intercom facilities, library, badminton and basketball courts and a cafeteria.
