    Cabinet Approves 3 Corridors Under Delhi Metro Phase-IV

    The Union Cabinet on March 7 approved Phase-IV of the Delhi Metro, paving the way for the construction of three new corridors, including the Mukundpur-Maujpur corridor, the RK Ashram-Janakpuri West corridor and the Aero City-Tughlakabad corridor. The combined length of these corridors will be 61.679 kilometre, spanning 46 Metro stations, 17 underground and 29 elevated. To be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 25,000 crore, the three corridors take the Metro deeper into the national capital, improving connectivity while at the same time reducing traffic congestion.

    PM Modi Flags Off 13.5-km Stretch Of Nagpur Metro

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 7 inaugurated via video conferencing a 13.5-km built under Phase-I of the Nagpur Metro. The stretch that opens for public use on March 8 will connect Khapri with Sitabuldi. Phase-I of the Nagpur Metro that would run 40 kilometre (km) will have two corridors. Also known as the north-south corridor, this stretch will run between Automative Square and Metro City, and will have 20 stations.

    All You Need To Know About Nijashree Housing Scheme

    To provide quality affordable housing to the people in the state, the West Bengal Housing Board, under state urban development department, comes up with housing schemes from time to time. The housing board provides units under four category- economically weaker sections, lower income groups, middle income groups and higher income groups. Under the Nijashree scheme, each block consisting of 16 flats will be built, each having 1BHK of 378 sq ft and 2HK flats of 559 sq ft.     Budget 2019-20: MMRDA Gives Major Thrust To Metro Projects

    The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) on February 28 announced its Budget for the financial year 2019-20. Keeping its focus on the ongoing infrastructure projects, the MMRDA presented a Rs 16,909-crore Budget, 35 per cent more than the previous year’s Budget. Giving a major push to the Mumbai Metro network, the civic authority increased its Budgetary allocations for the ongoing projects in the city from Rs 4,700 crore in 2018-19 to Rs 7,486 crore this year.
