        Ghaziabad Flat Owners Association To Go 200-Member Strong

        With an aim to help residents living in highrises, the city’s Federation of Association of Apartment Owners has decided to increase the number of branches across the city. It will also become 200-member strong after the new initiative is launched—the current membership stands at 98. The federation, which also held its first regional meeting at Crossing Republic, has operations only in the Trans-Hindon areas so far.

        Barapullah Road Phase II, III Set To Make Commute Easier

        Barapullah Road Phase II and III will make the commute easier between east and south Delhi. The stretch when operational would start at Mayur Vihar Metro station and would end at Aurobindo Marg and INA Market. The total commute time from east Delhi to airport will come down to 40 minutes. The corridor would also connect NH-24 and NH-8, providing a signal-free ride to the commuters plying towards south Delhi.

        Mumbai Metro Ridership Hits 400-Million Mark

        The Mumbai Metro has crossed 400-million ridership at a 12-km route between Versova- Andheri- Ghatkopar in a period of four years. Also, it has emerged as the only public transport infrastructure that witnessed an increase in passengers of up to 15 per cent annually. According to the data available with Mumbai Metro One, the network operates with around 378-382 trips on weekdays, with a punctuality performance of 99.9 per cent along what is the world's densest corridor. The route also connects the eastern and western suburbs via Andheri.

        Pune Takes A Relook At Urban Roads; Redesigns To Decongest Them

        The Pune Municipal Corporation launched Urban Street Design Guidelines for areas falling under the city limits in 2016. These set ground rules were formed to ensure appropriate street types and street designs. Two years into the program, Pune has won accolades from the experts as well as the central government for executing the project. So far, work on the JM Road, Bhonde Colony and the Tilak Road have been completed while the congested stretches of the Laxmi Road, the Bajirao Road and the Kumthekar Road are next in the queue.
