    SC Seizes Amrapali's Benami Properties

    In a major crackdown on the company for wilful disobedience, the top court on November 13 attached its 100-bed multi-specialty hospital in Greater Noida, three residential towers in Noida and a villa in Goa. The SC said that the company had deliberately not complied with its earlier order and committed a "serious fraud" by diverting homebuyers' money from one company to another. A report of forensic auditors said that Amrapali Infrastructure was the main company and around Rs 2,000 crore were transferred from it to other sister companies.
