Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO) Authority is owned by the Government of Dubai and was established in the year 2004. It is a Free Zone Authority and this technology park offers free trade zone for various companies and industries. The Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO) Authority project is strewn over an area of 7.2 kilometre square. To accommodate the high tech industry in it and to offer incentives and benefits to them, the organization made a huge capital investment for its infrastructure. The high tech infrastructure embellishing the DSO include - advanced telecommunications, a fibre optic network, tier 3 data centre with 120 high capacity racks, and a high-tech utility infrastructure with 8 power stations with a capacity of 1600 MW.
